Legal

Report illegal content

Effective 28 September 2026

Tell us about something stored in PitchWhip that you believe is illegal. You don’t need an account, and a person reviews every report.

If someone is in immediate danger, call the emergency services first: 112 anywhere in the EU, or 999 in the UK and Ireland.

Never send us copies of illegal images. Tell us only where they are. Child sexual abuse imagery can also be reported anonymously to the Internet Watch Foundation (UK) or Hotline.ie (Ireland).

Want your own contact details removed from PitchWhip instead? Use the removal form. It is quicker.

One address per line, up to 20. For an image in an email, right-click the image and copy the image address.

If it was in an email sent using PitchWhip, give the sender’s address, the date and the subject line.

Explain it clearly enough for us to understand without a legal investigation. For example: “This is my photograph and I have not licensed it”, or “This email makes a false claim about my company”. Do not paste or attach illegal images.

You don't have to give these. Without an email address we can't confirm we received your report or tell you our decision. Some reports, such as copyright or defamation, may need us to know who is reporting before we can assess them.

This form goes straight to PitchWhip’s own server. It keeps your internet (IP) address only as a one-way code, to limit how many reports can come from one connection in a day, and deletes that code after two days. It emails your confirmation through our email provider (see our Privacy Policy). Nothing filters a report by what it says: a person reads every one. We don’t tell the user who stored the content who reported it, unless that is strictly necessary. For example, they may need to know whose copyright it is to answer a copyright claim.

You can also email the same details to hello@pitchwhip.com. What happens next, and how to challenge our decision, is explained on our Digital Services Act page.
