For food and drink brands

Your next stockist
could be around the corner.

Find potential shops, see why they might fit and keep the conversation moving after the first hello.

Find shops is part of the Retail Pack, an add-on to a paid PitchWhip licence.

Find shops results for mushroom coffee around Bristol: Corner Larder scores 94 because it already stocks two similar brands, each shop with its reason and a Write a first message button
Find shops, the real screen: shops ranked by fit for your product, with the evidence. Example data; a fit is a suggestion, not a stocking commitment.

Getting stocked is still done the hard way.

The trade show alternative. Search independent delis, farm shops, grocers, bakeries and cafes anywhere you sell, and see which ones already carry brands like yours. Find who to contact and get a first message written from your own product. You press send.

  • Trade shows cost thousands

A stand, travel and samples add up before you have met a single buyer, and the right shops may not walk past.

  • Walking in cold

You turn up with a box of samples, the owner is out, and you never learn who decides.

  • Guessing who stocks what

Without a list of shops that already sell brands like yours, every visit and email is a guess.

Two ways in

Find a fresh fit. Or follow a familiar brand.

Find shops

Search for delis, farm shops, grocers, cafés and more. Use geography and your product to shape the shortlist.

Find shops that stock other brands

Look for relevant stock evidence on public shop and brand websites. Keep the source beside the suggestion.

What you actually get

From a shortlist to a stockist.

One shop opened: its fit score, the evidence that it stocks similar brands, and the contact details found: website, Instagram, email and phone
Open a shop: why it fits, and the email, phone and Instagram found for it.
A first message drafted for one shop, as an Instagram DM or an email, mentioning the brands it already stocks
A first message written from your product, as a DM or an email. You press send.
A shop's activity: the first email, the reply, the sample drop-off and the stage change, with the follow-ups that are due next
Every email, reply and visit in one place, with the follow-ups that are due.

Real PitchWhip screens. The people, companies, numbers and emails in them are invented.

Make the next move easy

How it works.

  1. Step 1: Pick your area

Around a place, a whole town, city or region, an area you draw on the map, along your route, or a whole country.

  2. Step 2: See the shops that fit

Each shop gets a fit score out of 100, with every reason and its source listed.

  3. Step 3: Find who to contact

The shop's email, phone and Instagram from its own website, and the owner's name where a company register lists one.

  4. Step 4: Write and follow up

A first message from your product and wholesale profile, then statuses and follow-ups until the first order.

Everything in the Retail Pack

What you get.

  • Search by area, your way

Around a place, a whole town or region, freehand on the map, along a route you are already driving, or a whole country. In 64 countries, including the UK, the US, Canada, much of Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

  • Food and drink shop types

Delis, farm shops, independent grocers, health food shops, wine and drinks shops, bakeries, cafes, food halls, butchers, coffee and tea shops, and chocolate and sweet shops.

  • A fit score with reasons

Every score is out of 100 and shows why: the kind of shop, how busy its street is, what it already stocks, and the places your customers go once you describe them.

  • Where brands like yours sell

Name the brands that sell to the same customers as you. PitchWhip reads their public stockist pages and shows the shops that carry them but not you yet.

  • Check what they stock

Read a shop's own website to see the products and brands on its shelves before you pitch.

  • Write a first message

A short Instagram DM and an email for each shop, written from your product, your wholesale profile and what that shop already stocks. Edit it, copy it, send it yourself.

  • Wholesale profile and sell sheet

Your products, prices, margin and terms in one place, with a print-ready sell sheet and price list to share with buyers by link.

  • Follow-ups and progress

Mark each shop emailed, DM'd, called, visited, sample sent, stocked or not interested, with follow-ups so nobody is forgotten.

  • Saved lists, reports and CSV

Keep shops in lists, print a dated report of where each one stands, and export to CSV on a paid plan.

What it won't do.

PitchWhip never sends a message for you. Every DM and email opens in your own Instagram or mail app and you press send. It can't promise a shop will stock you: it shows you where to look and what to say.

Questions.

Which countries does it cover?

Find shops searches 64 countries, including the UK, the US, Canada, much of Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Search around a town, postcode or ZIP code, a whole region, an area you draw, a route or a whole country.

How is fit scored?

Each shop gets a score out of 100. It comes from the kind of shop (delis and farm shops take on new brands most often), how busy its street is and what it already stocks. Describe your customers and the places they go count too. Every point is listed under Why this score, with its source.

Where does the shelf data come from?

From public websites. Check what they stock reads the shop's own website. Where brands like yours sell reads the public stockist pages of brands you choose as similar to yours. Shop listings come from open map data (OpenStreetMap and Overture Maps) and, in the UK, the Food Standards Agency's food hygiene register.

Does it send messages for me?

No. PitchWhip writes a first Instagram DM and email for you to edit. You copy it, open Instagram or your mail app, and press send yourself.

How much does it cost?

Find shops comes with the Retail Pack, an add-on to a paid PitchWhip licence. See the pricing page for today's prices.

Do I need the Chrome extension?

No. Find shops is in the PitchWhip web dashboard, so you only need a browser. The Chrome extension is for prospecting on LinkedIn and is optional.

The Retail Pack is $29 a month per account, added to a paid PitchWhip licence ($49 a seat a month). Prices in US dollars, before VAT or sales tax.
